Records & Human Resources

The Records & Human Resources Division of the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for managing public records and overseeing all human resources functions. Mrs. Rebecca Groom serves as the Public Records Custodian for the agency, ensuring compliance with Florida’s public records laws and facilitating timely responses to records requests.

At any time, individuals have the right to inspect and/or copy public records in accordance with Chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes. Information regarding applicable fees associated with public records requests may be found within the statute.

The Human Resources Division receives and processes employment applications for the Sheriff’s Office and maintains personnel and training records for all current and former employees. The division also tracks employee certifications and required document renewals to ensure agency-wide compliance.
