Communications & 911 DivisionThe Gilchrist County Communications Division is responsible for receiving incoming emergency and non-emergency calls from the citizens of Gilchrist County. The division ensures that calls are promptly routed to the appropriate emergency response units. The Communications Division handles all 911 calls for Gilchrist County and provides full-time dispatch services for the Trenton Department of Public Safety, local Fire Departments, EMS Rescue Units, Gilchrist County Animal Control, and other partnering agencies as required. In addition, the Communications Division maintains constant communication with and monitors the Emergency Management Division for notifications involving severe weather conditions, tornado activity, hazardous materials incidents, road closures, and fires that may pose a threat to the safety and well-being of Gilchrist County residents. |
