A Hero is Honored by Florida Sheriffs

Sheriff Robert (Bobby) Schultz and the men and women of the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Gilchrist County, congratulate Sgt. ROBERT LUNDY of the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office on┬ábeing named The Florida Sheriff’s Associations Lawenforcement Officer of The Year. Sgt. Lundy is a humble, TRUE hero in every sense of the word. Sgt. Lundy was shot and critically wounded in February 2014 in an active shooter incident at a Perry, Florida car dealership. If it were not for Sgt. Lundys heroic actions; deliberately placing himself between the shooter and innocent citizens, (Sgt. Lundy shot and killed the shooter after an employee was shot and after he was shot himself) an already terrible situation would have most definitely been worse. We appreciate Sgt. Lundys (and his famlies) sacrifices and pray for his continued recovery from the injuries he sustained saving lives.
